We celebrate the inspiring Wellness Day with 3 reflections
by MyriamShare
Today is Wellbeing Day , celebrated in over 5,000 locations across 150 countries and every continent, with the motto "One day can change your whole life." This celebration originated in Istanbul in 2012, spearheaded by a Turkish businesswoman named Belgin Aksoy, who survived a life-threatening illness and felt she should celebrate in a special way. We think wellbeing is a fantastic topic, so we're joining in the celebration and reflecting on this intangible state that so greatly influences our lives.

The canonical definition (according to the Royal Spanish Academy) of well-being is: “A state in which a person is aware of the proper functioning of their physical and mental activity.” You feel good inside and out. A healthy mind in a healthy body. So far, so good, right?
The real challenge lies in achieving, and especially maintaining, that state. With the lives most of us lead, the delicate balancing act of family or personal life alongside a professional career, the added pressure of social media in terms of unattainable ideals, and then the search for the ideal partner, the dream job, the implicit obligation to care for loved ones, and finally, gathering dust in a corner, the attempt to improve your well-being, to feel good long enough for your life balance to be positive.
Do you see yourself reflected in this definition? Many of us on the SKINVITY team have felt this way on more than one occasion. And from those feelings, besides giving rise to this beautiful brand , we've gained countless insights, the result of team conversations, some of which we'd like to share with you.

We can't expect to find complete well-being all at once . Rather, we can understand it as a compass that guides our daily choices. Every decision, from the most trivial, like choosing a relaxing herbal tea instead of coffee in the afternoon, to the most significant, like changing jobs or starting therapy, ending a toxic relationship, or taking a trip because you deserve it, is a step toward personal harmony.

Well-being goes beyond the absence of illness or discomfort; it's a multifaceted state encompassing physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being. It means feeling whole, balanced, and connected to yourself and your surroundings. It's like those dot-to-dot drawings we used to do as children: only by connecting all the dots does the result appear . Otherwise, you're left with only half the picture. A toned and slender body is nothing if it's accompanied by emotional distress that prevents you from feeling good. The same applies to other aspects of life: you can run a multinational corporation, but if your personal life is a disaster, no success will matter.

The process of reaching that state depends largely on ourselves—which doesn't mean we can't have help—but it's true that we need to stop, delve deep within ourselves, and see what's happening and where that unease that prevents us from feeling fulfilled comes from. The conclusion we've reached (and more and more women are reaching it) is that we almost always forget to include self-love as something essential , indispensable, and beneficial on our long list of priorities.
It's essential, therefore, to find tools that help you in this quest. At SKINVITY, we use technology as a tangible tool to support us in our daily self-care. Because yes, we believe that finding more intimate spaces to dedicate to ourselves fosters an increase in our well-being. Cause and effect. And that's where technology offers us effective, fun, different, and very appealing solutions.

We've always loved taking care of ourselves; we're beauty lovers. We love cosmetics, skincare, and sharing tips with our friends. But discovering cosmetic technology was a stratospheric leap, a real wow factor. When you connect the device, turn it on, learn how to use it, and appreciate the results on your skin. And the whole process—finding that little bit of time just for yourself, incorporating details that make it unique, and doing it, if possible, every day. Or at least finding several slots each week to pamper yourself and enjoy your own company.
The femtech category to which we proudly belong provides innovative solutions to the issues that concern most women at different stages of life.
These advances not only allow us to care for our skin and body more efficiently and in a personalized way, but also strengthen our relationship with ourselves by turning personal care into a special moment, a kind of ritual.
In conclusion, wellness is a personal and unique journey that each of us can tailor to our own needs, and cosmetic technology is one of the many resources we have at our disposal to make this journey more enjoyable and effective. It works for us, and that's why SKINVITY exists: to bring femtech wellness to as many women as possible. Will you join this revolution?
