Cellulite or sagging skin? Which is my biggest problem?
by BlancaShare
Or both, which aren't mutually exclusive. Especially for very thin people who don't exercise. And we know you're thinking about this right now, aren't you? Us too. With warmer weather approaching, we're more concerned about our bodies. By identifying our weaknesses, we'll be better prepared to improve them.

Cellulite and sagging skin go hand in hand ; both alter the appearance of the skin, which is why they are sometimes confused, but they are two different problems.
Cellulite.
Cellulite on the buttocks and thighs is not a health problem , let's get that straight. It's primarily an aesthetic issue with a biological basis: women accumulate fat deposits in that specific area that are more difficult to eliminate, and the fat cells are also larger, as they would serve us when we want to reproduce and the body needs extra energy. Biology has reasons that aesthetics doesn't understand, that much is clear.
The good news is that fat deposits in this area are less dangerous than, for example, those in the abdominal area, which may be more linked to visceral fat.
How do I know if I have cellulite?
Cellulite is very easy to distinguish: the typical dimples, caused by these fat and fluid accumulations, are recognizable to all of us, much to our dismay.

The skin pinching trick is a very useful basic. You should pinch in a diamond shape with your thumb and forefinger. If dimples appear, that's the cause.
And how do we control it?
The key is to eat well, if we don't. And when we say well, we mean eating healthily, with the right amounts and nutrients that our bodies need. We at SKINVITY aren't big fans of crash diets or fad diets . If you put your body at risk, it will defend itself, and even if you look great for three months, after that time it will start accumulating fat frantically because it felt threatened.
Exercise is also important, at least to move around. If basic things like climbing two flights of stairs or walking 2 km leave you breathless, be careful. You have to move!
One way to eliminate fat deposits—and their visible manifestation as cellulite—is through lipolysis, or the mobilization of fat. That's where we recommend Glo 910 10+, our fat-burning massager, which allows us to target these areas where cellulite is so concentrated.
The massage provided by Glo is draining; it helps to mobilize adipose tissue affected by cellulite and cellular waste so that it can be eliminated more quickly by our body through the lymphatic system.
With Glo you will immediately notice that cellulite looks better, feels better, and softens and diminishes.
Sagging skin.
Sagging skin is another matter. Here, the problem comes from within, usually appears at older ages, and has a very clear cause: the loss of collagen and elastin, due to a natural process—it decreases with age.
Aging is a determining factor, but it also appears in young women. And the truth is, crash diets—the kind we at SKINVITY strongly oppose—are terrible for sagging skin. It's true that sometimes we lose weight and immediately panic when we notice those loose skin folds, and then after a few weeks the skin readjusts to the new contours and it's not so dramatic. But without exercise, it's very difficult to compensate. Strong bones and good muscle tone support the skin and keep it firmer and more toned.

How do I know if I have sagging skin?
A quick trick is to test the skin in the areas you're unsure about. If simply stretching the skin upwards with your open palm eliminates visible irregularities in that area, then yes, you have sagging skin.
And how do I control it?
On the one hand, we must understand that eliminating it completely over time will not be possible. However, we can improve it and control its progression. As with cellulite, diet and exercise go hand in hand.
It's true that a strong muscle base is important. If you've been exercising for years, you'll definitely see less sagging. The problem areas are the inner arms and thighs, and also the abdomen—especially if you've had pregnancies. But don't worry, experts say that even at 50, and without ever having exercised before, strength training works and can help you a lot. Our bodies are truly amazing machines.
We always recommend consistency in everything you do. Radiofrequency, the technology in our TriPollar Pose VX body device, stimulates the production of new collagen, which will significantly improve your muscle tone. The results are immediate—it has a flash effect—but you'll need a few weeks for the effects to solidify and for the changes to last. If you're consistent, you'll notice a significant improvement: better muscle tone, brighter skin with a firmer texture, a smoother and more youthful appearance, and a reduction in wrinkles and irregularities.
