Envejecer no es el fin. La luz LED puede ayudarte

Growing old is not the end, it can be the beginning

by Myriam

Finally, that day arrives when the mirror reflects a image that bears no resemblance to the mental picture you have of yourself . The dissonance between your real appearance and the imagined, now longed-for, one begins to gradually widen. It's a journey of no return. Along this path, you can choose between two routes, like those books from the eighties where your choices during the reading led you to one ending or another: the path of acceptance and the path of the quest for eternal youth.

Yes, aging is a verb with negative connotations; we don't like to conjugate it. A good idea we play with at SKINVITY is adding adjectives that complement it. Aging well. Aging happily. Aging beautifully. Aging peacefully. And one phrase, one of many, that we like is this:

“Growing old is not lost youth, but a new stage of opportunity and strength.” (Betty Friedan)

All stages of life are beautiful

Accepting that you're aging doesn't mean you should stop taking care of yourself. Learn to love yourself with your new appearance, discover that you can take better care of yourself. Get to know your skin as the treasure it is, distinguish it from anyone else's. Touch it, caress it, feel it, and learn what it needs.

Create a special, intimate self-care ritual, and savor it—enjoy yourself—without rushing. If you haven't done so before, now is a great time to embrace healthy habits in all aspects of your life, not just the physical. Almost always, the most crucial moments—those instants when you're certain time is passing—represent a turning point in your life, one from which you can emerge triumphant.

In that sense, self-care should be seen as holistic : it's not just about reducing cellulite or sagging skin ; it's about understanding that we also need to move, eat well, maintain positive social relationships, and cultivate a healthy and fulfilling relationship with ourselves. You're going to get older—and how lucky you are!—and you can also improve in every aspect of your life, including having fresh, radiant, and luminous skin.

Myriam, from the SKINVITY team, tells us how she experiences her adaptation to aging: “There comes a day when, suddenly, your phone's camera turns around and shows your reflection, and you feel, to put it mildly, discouraged. My nature is rebellious, so that moment spurred me on to find solutions to look and feel better . Do I want to look 15 years younger? Yes, of course, like everyone else. But I know that's not possible, and besides, I wouldn't subject myself to just any kind of treatment. I respect it, I support it, but I wouldn't do it, because I want to keep my natural essence visible. Personally, being aware that I'm going to age has helped me rediscover myself , to explore this natural process of aging, and to look for innovative solutions that allow me to bring out my best self and maintain a healthier beauty. And also, why not say it, to find an effective way to slow down the aging process. That's when I stumbled upon cosmetic technology .”

At SKINVITY, we understand that it is our responsibility as a brand to raise awareness of this new, kinder, and more realistic approach to aging. Therefore, our vision is to democratize the technologies commonly used in beauty salons, and our mission is to make them available to as many women as possible, in order to promote well-being at all stages of life, with a particular focus on maturity.

Furthermore, we believe it's important to convey a clear message regarding the use of our products: you won't stop time, but you can walk alongside it at a slower pace . In doing so, you can enjoy life, rediscover yourself, and celebrate your birthday feeling good.

Don't forget, you're not just great. You're amazing.
