What LED lighting can do for you is a lot.
by BlancaShare
We're fans of LED lighting , that's a fact. And maybe after reading this, you will be too. Because what LED lighting— and its 7-color spectrum —can do for you is a lot. And good.
And what does LED light do?
In short, it improves the skin's appearance, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, boosts collagen production, treats skin conditions like rosacea and acne, and is used for wound healing. And it's painless and has no side effects . A real game-changer, in a word.

A little bit of history…
Like skincare, light therapies have existed for centuries. Hippocrates prescribed sunbathing to his patients to help with their skin conditions, and they were also commonly prescribed in Ayurvedic medicine. In China, of course, they were not far behind and began using color for specific treatments.
From those seeds… these insights. It is wonderful what human beings can achieve in a few years, centuries, of research.
LED stands for light-emitting diode. It was developed by NASA, and they invested a great deal of time and effort in it—if you want more technical information, it's available here . They were looking to alleviate skin problems in their astronauts and also a technique that would allow them to grow plants in space (which they achieved).
Today, it has many applications in countless fields, in lighting of course, in medicine and various therapies and, in what concerns and excites us: beauty and dermatology.
What do the colors of LED light mean?

The LED light spectrum comprises up to 7 tones, each with a specific application and addressing a particular skin concern. Let's begin:
RED: Red light is the most aggressive and best known for its anti-wrinkle effect . Infrared light activates cell regeneration, fibroblasts, and stimulates the creation of collagen and elastin, resulting in youthful, radiant skin and, consequently, a greater sense of well-being.
GREEN: Green light is specifically designed to control hyperpigmentation , regenerating skin damaged by UV rays, scars, and age. By inhibiting the overproduction of melanin, it evens out skin tone. It's a lifesaver for troubled skin.
BLUE: Blue light is a powerful anti-acne treatment , addressing the condition at its source. It penetrates the skin and produces oxygen that destroys the bacteria that cause acne, whether hormonal or stress-related. It's a powerful light that leaves no pore, pimple, or redness visible, yet it's gentle on irritated skin. And it's a must-have when you're about to get your period .
YELLOW: Yellow light stimulates lymphatic circulation, improves cell oxygenation, and supports the immune system. It's especially beneficial for sensitive skin, as it soothes and softens it. If you have redness, you'll love it . And if you have sagging skin, you'll love it too, because it greatly improves muscle and tissue tone, and has a highly firming and tightening effect on the skin. It's a natural skin trainer .
TURQUOISE BLUE: Turquoise blue light gives your metabolism a boost , providing an energizing and extraordinarily calming effect on the skin, similar to the effect it has on you on the first day of your vacation.

PURPLE: The combination of red and blue light eliminates toxins , reduces inflammation, and improves healing and blood circulation. If you have acne, redness, blemishes, and especially if you've had a facial treatment, this is the light for you, because it restores your skin, like a good facial nurse.
WHITE: White light penetrates the deepest layers of the skin to reactivate your cells and collagen production. That's why it rejuvenates and tightens . It's like an explorer seeking to uncover the hidden treasures of your skin.
Which devices incorporate it?
At SKINVITY we have several devices that incorporate LED light technologies such as Fixeye , Foreo UFO 2 , Glo 910+ and some where it is the only technology, such as the UNICSKIN LED mask.
And stay tuned, because we'll soon have a surprise that can be summed up in two words: LED light and SKINVITY. This is our year of beauty .
