Home pressotherapy: 4 myths and realities about this fabulous massager
by MyriamShare
At-home pressotherapy at SKINVITY is called PressTech. It's our new body massager, and beauty experts like Rocío Roca have this to say about it:
“PressTech is my favorite. Having it at home is so convenient; I don't have to travel, and it's just as effective as the ones at beauty salons. I use it every other day, at night, when I get home exhausted. I lie down on my bed and put it on my legs. It's a moment of relaxation, and I notice a huge difference in terms of heavy legs, cellulite, water retention, etc. Until now, I only had pressotherapy during my pregnancies, and my legs were great. I think it's a fantastic product: being able to have pressotherapy at home with professional results is amazing.”

SKINVITY's at-home pressotherapy is an affordable luxury.
We are very proud of such positive feedback as Rocío's. The truth is, even within the SKINVITY team, it has become a favorite among many of us. Myriam, our brand and communications director, is one of them.
“For me, it’s my new favorite. About to turn 50, I’ve started retaining fluid more often, something that only happened occasionally when I was younger. I use PressTech twice a week, and the relief from heavy legs is instant. My ankles also go down immediately. Having pressotherapy at home is absolutely wonderful. I think there isn’t a woman over 40 who wouldn’t be a candidate for using it and getting the most out of it, truly.”
Now that we've seen how popular home pressotherapy is, let's debunk some myths about it, providing facts to clear up any doubts or insecurities that we understand exist.
Myths and realities of home pressotherapy
Myth 1: Home pressotherapy is a painful procedure.
Fact: Many people find it very relaxing. Some even fall asleep. It is important to adjust the pressure correctly.
Myth 2: Home pressotherapy is only for people with health problems.
Reality: it is very beneficial for any healthy woman with the minor problems we all have: fluid retention, tired legs, cellulite and swollen legs.
Myth 3: Home pressotherapy can replace exercise.
Reality: It can improve recovery after exercise and help with circulation, but it cannot replace the effects of physical exercise on the body.
Myth 4: The effects of at-home pressotherapy are permanent.
Reality: As with almost everything, regular sessions are necessary. The duration of the effects can vary depending on the person and their lifestyle.
And let's recap its benefits, which are many and varied:
• Reduction of fluid and toxin retention : contributes to their elimination, because the massage is performed in an upward direction, directed to the lymphatic drainage points.
• It improves blood circulation and combats the feeling of tired or swollen legs. And this is instantaneous; with just a 30-minute massage, you'll notice the swelling has reduced.
• Cellulite reduction: the device improves skin texture and although it is not the only thing we recommend on its own, combined with Glo 910+ or TriPollar Pose VX it is super efficient, both for reducing cellulite and for improving skin texture.

• Relaxation and well-being: many clients tell us that during the session they fall asleep, that's all.
• Improved skin appearance: orange peel skin is fatty tissue that accumulates at the subcutaneous level and with pressotherapy its appearance improves considerably.
• Complement for weight loss and self-care: there is strength in numbers and combining self-care with a healthy diet is the winning formula for well-being.
